Holy Week @ Subic Day 1

Finally!!!! My long-awaited long-weekend vacation has arrived. You just can't imagine how I've been dying to leave the stressful city of Manila just to have a well-deserved vacation. And I'm glad that my family decided to spend it near the city. Plus, there's going to be a 3-day water interruption in most parts of Manila, and we are affected.

I was on the last batch to leave Manila, along with Tito Winston going to Subic. That was April 16, 2014 Wednesday. My mom's group was the first batch to leave. They left Tuesday early in the afternoon followed by my brother Gilbert after a few hours. Due to tons of loads of work that I wasn't able to leave. In fact, I was even planning to stay just to finish my workload. Don't want to bring the stress in my vacation.

April 16, 2014 4:00pm
I was supposed to meet up with Tito Winston at the warehouse in Valenzuela at 3pm. But I left my house an hour late because I made sure that I made proper endorsement to my staffs. Going to Valenzuela was easy, took me half an hour just to get there.

We left the warehouse by 5:00 pm, glad that there was no heavy traffic going to nlex. We made our first stop at a gasoline station along NLEX to buy snacks. We were hungry and it's a 2-3 hour drive to our destination. It's 6:00 pm by the time we left the gas station.
SEE! No Traffic

Going to Subic

Subic is 135-140km away from Manila. Going to Subic from Manila is fairly easy because you will pass mostly highways and expressways. From Manila, Go to Balintawak that leads to Nlex. Then Exit at the Dau Toll Plaza at the end of NLEX and take SCTEX. Drive to SCTEX that leads to Subic-Tipo High way. At the end of the high way is SUBIC hooray! Easy right??

Harborpoint

I've always been hearing harborpoint because one of my client's store branches is located here. It actually is my first time going here.

We had our dinner at Savory..."sarcastically something new" Well, it's already evening and too tired to look for other restaurants to dine.

After dinner, we went to the hotel at Subic International Hotel Delta. First batch apparently transferred here from Subic International Hotel Alpha this afternoon. They've been ranting the whole night on how lucky Tito Winston and I was because we didn't have to endure the agony of staying in their previous hotel. They were complaining about the stench. Aircon's not working properly. Too many mosquitoes flying around and blah blah blah and so on and so forth.

Slept early on the first day. The rest of the adventure awaits on the following days.
