Christening at Tramway

Jillian Luna's Christening at Tramway

Jeliver Luna or JP/JV , my bestfriend since who knows when, invited me for the Christening of their first child, Jillian Micaila Luna at Holy Family Church at Quezon City

Sadly, I didn't make it to the church as I was too tired from my 3-day birthday celebration that I woke up late at around 8:45 am. I was supposed to meet up with Abi (JV's cousin) at their house at 8:45 am(O.O). Good thing I was not a Ninong or else they will have to find a proxy for me. I just went straight ahead to the reception at Tramway Banawe.

The service of food will begin at 12 noon, but I was an hour earlier. There were still no guest there so I took some pictures

TRAMWAY

Tramway Restaurant is a buffet restaurant that serves Japanese, Chinese and Filipino Cuisine. It only cost P200+ per head with drinks not included. They serve both lunch and dinner everyday. Its first branch opened at Banawe Quezon City in 2001. And now, it has other three branches located in Shaw Boulevard, Roxas Boulevard and Timog in Quezon City. They also do catering and can hold private function of 70 to a thousand, depending on the branch.

Here's the set up of their function room on 2nd floor. It has the total capacity of 70 pax to 100 pax, more or less. When I was here, the area had this kind of stench : (. I hope they do something about this one.

This is their buffet set up at the ground floor. It has sushi, dimsum, fried chicken, steamed fish and desserts like fruits and salad.

FOOD

As what I have stated earlier, they serve Japanese, Chinese and Filipino Cuisine.

This is their California Maki.

This is where salads, dimsum desserts put altogether in one table.
Dimsum-Siomai
Soup-Egg soup
Salad- Greens with sliced tomatoes, cucumber, turnips as their topings served with thousand island dressing
Dessert-Ginataang Ube
This is the leftest part of the table fromt the picture above
Desserts-Buko Pandan Salad and Macaroni Salad, Breads and Butchi
Fruits-Pineapple and Watermelon and papaya
The black on the upper middle is the century egg

Oh diba? halo-halo ang desserts, apps at salads in just one table (@.@)

This is their Yang Chow Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Pork. The one that's at the back is their Pancit Canton Guisado
Aren't Rice and Pancit Canton Guisado supposed to be beside each other? Just a thought
This is the remaining dishes
Steamed Fish
Mapo Tofu
Fried Chicken

Flavor and Presentation of Food is OK, typical set up. But the order of food in their buffet is quite confusing.

AFFORDABILITY

The price is very Affordable. Each branch has a different rate. Banawe's rate is P205 per head. Timog is P215 per head while Shaw and Roxas rate is P248. But still, for you to dine in a buffet with the number of dishes available at such a price, very cheap!

OVERALL RATING 8/10

One word: SULIT!!!! No wonder it's very hard to have a reservation here. It's always full plus every weekend is full of function from baptismal to birthdays and weddings. I've only tried Timog and Banawe and I'm looking forward to try the rest of the branches as they serve more food.

Here are the early birds

The person beside me on the left picture is JV's mom

This is the table where I am seated, and beside me is Abigail. My friend since high school....that was more than a decade ago hahaha THUNDERS!!!!!

This is Monette, JV's wife. With her is Jillian. They both look very pretty right?
