Baguio Vacay Day 3

Day 3.....it's not that cold anymore. Temperature is higher now than the previous days. Our supposed-to-be itinerary for this morning is minesview park, burnham park and good shepherd. Unfortunately, most of the roads are closed due to unknown reason. So instead, we just stayed at home and played cards. Except me and Erwin, The second batch who arrived in day 1 became the first batch to leave. They're planning to go home early to avoid heavy traffic.

2:30 pm- minesview (epic fail)
We were supposed to go to minesview but all the road that leads to that destination is very congested. Actually, it's heavy traffic everywhere. We tried to pass by at the wright park, but car's not moving. Then another short cut at camp john hay, but same reason that we just ended up strolling. So we decided to leave for burnham park.

4:30 pm- Burnham Park

That's right! It took us two hours of zigzags and heavy traffic to get to the next destination. Actually, it's also traffic going here too that others were deciding to go back home. Well, thanks to my lovely brother who's very familiar with the place, found a shortcut. By the way, It's friggin cold here now. The temperature might not be as low as day 1, but the breeze makes you friggin chill.

Oh History...Why you no like me very very much?

I will honestly tell you that I just knew these information just now:
1. Burnham Park was named in respect of Daniel Hudson Burnham
2. He is the Architect and the one who's responsible for designing the land of Baguio

So without him guys, Baguio will not be this progressive. Whenever I go to places, I just tend to roam around enjoying and buying souvenirs and others. But when I started blogging, I'm learning more, gaining more knowledge and information. Thank you blog! Just imagine right now. I've been to Baguio several times and yet I just knew some history of it.

After several years that I haven't been to Baguio, Burnham Park sure did made a big change. One, it has many police officers roaming around for the protection of the tourist. Two, they built more to make it more attractive. So what are the attractions that you'll find here?

In the middle of Burnham Park, you'll find a huge lake full of swan boats. You can rent with the rate of P100. I didn't get the chance to try because it was very cold that I can't even get my hands off my jacket.

Erwin and I separated with the rest of us to roam around the park. There are tiangge where you can buy snacks. Most them are Siomai House, Shawarma and Sisig House and then some merchandise, souvernirs and pasalubong. Of course, it's not cheap. We also found the owner of the St. Bernard Dog. But got snobbed! That's okay

There's also a part here in the park where you can ride bicycles for your kids "and feeling kids" to enjoy.

We stayed here until night time. You can really feel how the temperature drops

Here in the picture (left), you'll see SM from this view.

Then there's this what they called Rose garden fountain. A song is being played at the background then water and lights plays along with the tune of the music.

Sadly, Mom and I got sick due to the cold temperature. I got a fever too. So we stayed at the park while waiting for the medicine from the drugstore

 8:00pm-Home

How sad that we didn't get to places like minesview due to heavy traffic. Next time! We're home now preparing for dinner. Of course, Poker while waiting for dinner.

Then we noticed that there's a chimney inside the house. Brother and I decided to give it a try and use it. Damn, it was not that easy to lit up dry woods. Here's the steps
1. alcohol
2. wind from electric fan
3. more dry woods and papers as in dry!
4. enjoy

I slept early. Good night!
