LAOAG-Day 2
BREAKFAST AT ISABEL SUITES
Even though day 1 is quite tiring for us, excitement and full of anticipation overwhelmed the feeling of tiredness for our 2nd day of the trip as we visited the Sand dunes where we had our sand boarding, and rode a 4x4 vehicle for sand, Malacanang of the North, Fort Ilocandia, and St William's Cathedral. We started the day with a simple Filipino breakfast in Isabel Suites before checking out.
LA PAZ SAND DUNES
This by so far is the most thrilling adventure we had for the trip. This is the place where we played in the sand under the blazing heat of the sun. Sand boarding and 4x4 vehicles! We're supposed to go here at late in the afternoon, but since they require 2 days advance reservation, We just went in the morning

Since 4x4 vehicle can only afford 5 people max, we decided to split our group into two.
Group A Mau Bonggao
Alain Corros
Julia Osia
Noel Villota
They rode the 4x4 truck first.
Group B:
Raissa Ang
Richard Ang
Reggie Pinlac
Me
We hit the sand dunes first. Sand boarding time!!
At first glance, you'll think it's quite easy because the hill is not that high. But when we climbed all the way to the top...damn! My acrophobia strikes. Anyhow, I don't wanna spoil the fun so I still decided to go on and try. And among us, I was even the first person to try it.
There are two kinds of hill. One is for beginners which is less steep. and second is for advance as it has more steep than the other one. Of course we are not insane enough to go sandboarding at the second hill.
At first try, It was a smooth sailing until my slippers got stock at the board. The sand is so hot that my pair of feet can't tolerate the sand's temperature (O.O). I didn't even know how I even wore my slippers back while continuously jumping at the scene hahaha. Almost Epic. Then I waited for them to slide down. Reggie was the last one.
After we had our first slide, the first group arrived, making it our turn to ride the truck. We rode the 4x4 truck and yeah it's like riding a roller coaster without any safety belts nor anything. What you can only do is hold on tight and pray you won't fall hahaha But this was definitely way too cool, Though I ended up with a large bruise on my left abdomen and Reggie had his sprained wrist. Definitely not for people who has injuries and weak heart
Then we went back to the 1st group to try the advance level of sand boarding
GERROOOOONNNIIIMMOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two of the group made an exhibition called Sand-Diving hahaha. They know what i mean so I don't need to elaborate the scenario anymore.
We stayed here for two hours and damn! I've got sunburn. I thought that I'm going to have that in the beach but the desert already gave it in advance
Perfect 10 Score for pure awesomeness!!!!

PAPA PAU's
After all the climbing and the heat definitely made us very very hungry......well make that starving. Papa Pau's restaurant is located near La Preciosa. We even pass by this restaurant last night on our way home and the owner was interviewed by GMA-7.
We ordered Boodle Feast. It's actually 2 kinds
One order of boodle feast is already good enough for 7. But since we just had our exhausting adventure in the sands, I don't think one order is enough. We even ordered refillable Red iced tea to re hydrate ourselves from the heat. While waiting for our orders to arrived, we took turns on using the comfort room to remove the excess sands inside our shirt. Quick wash up and change outfit.
Boodle feast is served on a long wooden rectangular plate with banana leaf on top. It invites you to eat using your hands. Most of us did that we looked like cavemen haha.
We also got the chance to have a group picture with the owner...It's Papa Pau himself
I can't thank him enough for the great food and good service
OVERALL RATE for me is 9/10. price is affordable and food is great too. RECOMMENDED
We had our next stop at St. William Cathedral to buy some water for our travel to Fort Ilocandia, Malacanang of the North and Pagudpud. It's quite a long way going there so might as well make a preparation for food and water. St. William's Cathedral is located almost infront of the sinking bell tower.
