Manila Pack Walk Club-A walk with our furkids
Date:July 21, 2013 Sunday
Place: From Rotonda at Del Fierro Gagalangin to Lucky Chinatown Mall then back
After 6 months of being absent, I finally showed up to the group to have my first long walk with Airwind. Cause of absence:Erich was pregnant last February and Basty (French Bulldog) doesn't have the capability to walk that far.......and I don't have plans to carry Basty. That little dog might be small, but he's heavier than you'll thought he would be.
By the way, the middle bottom is a pug. ^_^
Another reason why I can't join them is because I had my Cesarean....I mean Appendectomy hahahaha, just last March, and having long walks is a No-No.
Let me give you a brief introduction of the group. Manila Pack Walk Club is a group of people where all members, dog lovers/owners in particular, meet and have a socialization not only for us owners but also for the dogs too. We socialize thru pack walks around Manila like Lucky Chinatown Mall, SM San Lazaro, UST area, Luneta and etc. Primarily, member's furkids are Siberian Huskies, but people with other breeds are welcome as well. So if the group have their meet ups or walks, it's your great chance to see various breeds of dogs in one group such as pug, shih tzu, pom, the great dane, and many more The Club was made in April 10, 2013 in facebook. Currently, there are 84 members and it's still growing.
My first walk with them in Lucky Chinatown taken January 16, 2013
Going back to our walk, the plan started when Ruth posted at facebook last Sunday morning. A walk plus BBQ...."BBQ lang pala ang kailangan para maging successful ang pagyayaya ng walk kaya next time daw sagot nya" hahaha joke!!! Luckily, most of us are free that time, so we planned where to walk and decided Lucky Chinatown Mall as our destination. And I've also been wanting airwind to socialize to the pack as early as now.
Here's my to-bring-checklist
wet swipes √
sando bag √
puppy record √
water.....wala haha
Meeting place is in rotonda at 5 pm. Andrei was already there by the time I arrived. Oh yeah, I consider him as one of the early birds. Then until everybody's present. I've seen not only the old faces I knew but new ones too, so new found friends. We dropped by at Solis to meet kuya Raray and the rest. And off we go....
I had a hard time walking with Airwind as it was his first long walk. I have to carry him once in a while because he's still not used to it. Glad that he's not that heavy yet. I can't blame him....the distance from home to LCTM is in between 3.5 and 4 kilometers. And boy am I glad when I saw the mall itself from recto. Few walks and we're there!
I never thought that the mall will be lenient about bringing dogs inside the mall. Well, maybe as long as we take responsibilities of cleaning after them. plus their behavior. I also never thought that we will get quite a huge crowd once we get inside

Many took pictures of the dogs..."They should have taken pictures of the owners as well." hahaha some even ask if some are for sale, because they've been looking for a pup. It looked like we had a dog show inside the mall ^_^
What even caught their attention is the cry of my puppy. He was accidentally bitten by one of the dogs......(makulit kasi yung puppy kaya ayun hehe afterwards biglang nagbehave hahaha) Pero sobrang nataranta ako dahil ang tagal bago tumahan yung iyak at dumugo ung ear nya. Thank God daplis lang. I putted betadine after we got home

I didn't know that I have this shot pala ....talikodgenic hahaha
Ayun naman pala meron pala ako shot na nakaharap hahaha stolen pa naks! ang pogi!......ng puppy..pogi ng puppy hahaha
We stayed there for an hour or two then we headed back home. After I got separated, I cheated by riding a tricycle.....too tired already. By the time I got home, that's the time I realized I forgot the BBQ session.
Till next time guys!!!
Fact:Siberian Husky might be scary for those who are not familiar to them as they have their fierce look. They also howl like wolves. But they are affectionate and energetic. They are more of a partner than just a mere pet. These dogs are not for people who's going to have a dog for the first time. You have to have a lot of activities to create a great bond rather than letting him just stay at home. If a husky's been lock in a cage for too long, it will create a disastrous consequence. What I love the most about them is that their face can really show what they are trying to express.
See how my beautiful Erich smile before the camera ^_^ That was taken when she was still preggy to the two pups
This entry is dedicated to my two chikitings Winternight and Windgale AKA Airwindave. Happy 3rd month!!!!!
