DAY 3 - LAST DAY
PATAPAT VIADUCT
Remember when I mentioned Patapat? One of the major projects of Ferdinand Marcos. Well, here we are.
Patapat Viaduct is the 4th longest bridge that starts from Laoag, Ilocos Norte and ends all the way to Cagayan Valley Region. Just imagine how long they constructed this bridge. According to my research, this bridge was completed 1986....correct me if i'm wrong. I wonder, when did they started building this awesome infrastructure? It can be found at the Northernmost part of Luzon. You can enjoy the vastness view of South China Sea
AGUA GRANDE
Our next stop is Agua Grande. It's a few minute drive from where we took our pictures of Patapat Viaduct
It is a park where fresh and salt water meets. It has an entrance fee to get inside. You can have a swim and a picnic inside. There's a little hut inside where you can have your picnic. The place is nice and the water is cold
Here's one picture where........someone took a stolen shot of me accidentally. I didn't know that I was there until I looked closely at the picture hahaa. That's the pool where you can have a cold swim.
Then here's the hut that I'm talking about it where you can have your picnic. Raissa's the one inside ^_^
And this is where Julie almost did not make it back to the group before the timer of the camera is up. Kaya bigla na lang siya nagpost na malayo sa amin hahahaha.
FACT:According to my research again, there's a mini hydro-electric power plant to supply electricity for the barrios of pagudpud. Hmmmm
BANGUI WINDMILLS
If there's one place or site that I've been anticipating to visit, it's the gigantic windmills in Bangui. Your Pagudpud trip will be a waste without going here.
I really have to thank Richard Ang for this picture. I really love this shot! I think I fell in love with myself hahaha
Fact: The Bangui Windmills is the first power generating windmill farm not only in the Philippines but in Southeast Asia. There are 20 of them each has the height of 70 meters and the length of the blade is 41 meters. 15 of therm as initially built until last 2005 then another 5 was added last 2008. So this project was still new huh!
A day before checking in at Arinaya Resort, we had a short stop on a high place where we can have a bird's eye view of the windmills. It's already late that's why the image below is quite dim
But coming up close is very spectacular. How did they even built this thing and how did they erected these? Ming blogging
We never had a perfect jump shot for this one as it is very hard to jump in the sand
Next is our lunch break. We had our lunch just at the side of the main road; a small eatery. I ordered salted egg and tomato mix and bagnet accompanied by a tropicana juice. The weather is blazing hot, our body is sweaty ugh! And then there's too many flies flying around us while eating. So after eating, some of us took a quick shower. Then off we go to our next destination
