LAOAG-Day 2
FORT ILOCANDIA
We made a short visit at
Fort Ilocandia. We didn't get the chance to tour ourselves around the whole
resort. Only checked-in guest has the privileges to do that. Once, I checked in
here during my tour class way back in college 2005. That was also the first
time I rode an airplane.
Here's the entrance of
the resort
Julie is very
unforgettable here hahaha. She was pressured so much by the photographer that she blurted out "Nauubos ang hormones ko sa picture taking" hahahaha that really made my day But look at her....Hot! taob ang
mga beki hahaha Good job there Reggie Nice Shot!julie next time magbaon ka ng
hormone pill pag kasama mo si reggie hahaha
We also had our wacky
group picture here
and pictures of not so
whacky
Whacky or not doesn't
make any difference haha
Fort Ilocandia is
the biggest, luxurious, and the only 5 star hotel in the Ilocos region.
It has 80 more or less hectares of land. It is very near the Laoag airport.
MALACANANG OF THE NORTH
Our next and last stop
in Laoag is the Malacanang of the North. Your trip will never be complete
without visiting this place. It has an overlooking view of a breath-taking
scenery of Paoay Lake. One of the rooms there is filled with small replica and
blueprints of Marco's project which includes the Cultural Center of the
Philippines, PICC, Patapat Bridge and many more Oh history, Why can't you
really make me like you??? :( at kaunti na lang mauubos na rin ang english ko
hahaha
Here are some pics
PAGUDPUD
The first time I went
here, I thought that the reason why it's called pagudpud is because once you're
there, pagod ka na pudpud pa gulong nyo hehe. It's a long drive from manila to
Pagudpud kasi. We had a short stop at
the boundary of pagudpud for picture taking. Me and julies picture is an epic
fail hahaha. We were trying to have a jump shot but we cannot get the timing
right. And since we are in the middle of the road, we can't stay long as
speeding vehicle might hit us
Cool huh?
CAPE OF BOJEADOR LIGHTHOUSE
Our first stop in
Pagudpud. It's almost 5 in the afternoon by the time we get there.
Unfortunately, the lighthouse is closed for tourists so we didn't get the
chance to climb up and have a perfect view of cape bojeador and south china
sea. Good thing back then I had a chance. But that time, it can only accomodate
few people at a time as it has an unstable foundation.
ARINAYA RESORT
It's already sunset when
we got at the resort. We even got lost because the signage is not clear.
Arinaya Resort is a
budget room and so far, the worst resort I've been to.
I'm paired again with
Reggie at first. The room has no TV, Aircon can't make the room cold, there's
not even a mirror in the CR. No towels too. I ordered soap and have only one
stock left. I can't blame them for having many insects flying around the
dining area as it is an open area and the location of the resort is in between
the forest and the sea, but for them to get inside the room? UGH! The door to
our room can easily be open so theft might happen too. No cabinets to hang our
clothes. It's like they're saying that we should just fling our clothes
anywhere. I'm not picky or maarte, but this is too much!
The only good thing I
think it has is its closeness to the wonderful white sand beach. That's All!
We're so hungry when we
got there so we ordered our dinner. But Damn! It take them what!?....an hour or
more for them to serve our dinner and most of the items in the menu are in 86
list(Out of Stock). Even the lights went out. Good thing we're done with our
dinner and it took them 15 minutes to bring the lights back
Same set of pairs just
like in the Isabel Suites initially, but Reggie and I moved out to another room
as the air-con is busted as it cannot cool down our room. I moved to julie and
mau's room while reggie to the sibling's room.
Overall Total of the
resort: 1/10...or flat zero (o.0). Definitely not recommended. Try it to
believe it, but don't tell me that I didn't warn you
We just enjoyed
ourselves lying in the sand and drinking one bottle of beer and share stories.
Raissa and I were even lucky enough to see a shooting star. phew! ^_^ The
conversation went on and on until all of us decided to call it a night
